👩🏫 How to Use a Dash Egg Cooker
Step 1: Figure out how many eggs you're cooking and fill the water cup that comes with the cooker to that line. Then add it to the egg cooker.
Step 2. Add the eggs to the egg holders with the larger round side up. Find the pin at the bottom of the water cup.
Step 3: Use the pin and prick 1 hole at the large, round top of the egg, then put the egg back with the hole facing up.
Step 4: Repeat with all the eggs.
Step 5: If you are using a second rack, repeat steps 2-4.
Step 6: Cover the Dash egg cooker with the plastic cap, and press start. There's no setting you need to mess with, just turn it on and then come back when it starts beeping. It WILL LET YOU KNOW!
Step 7: When the egg cooker is finished, use tongs or protect hand cover to grab the eggs. The eggs will be very hot. Be extra careful! I add my eggs to an ice water bath before I peel to make it easier.
Step 8: Once they are safe, I crack the shells on the surface of a counter top or table and start to peel the shells.
Step 10: They are extra easy to peel after soaking in water.
Pros and Cons to Using the Dash Egg Steamer
Pros
- The Dash egg cooker cooks 12 eggs evenly in under 20 minutes.
- The egg cooker will let you know when the eggs are done cooking by making a loud beeping noise. You can't miss it.
Cons
- The Dash steamer I have has instructions for batches of 6 or 12 eggs. If you are steaming any number in between there isn't an exact measurement to go by. You can guestimate and still use the egg cooker but you are experimenting on your own now.
- When the steamer is done cooking there is a burnt smell and can leave a residue on the egg cooker. Wash the residue off as soon as you can.
🙋♀️Recipes FAQ
