Smooth, creamy, earthy, energizing matcha green milk tea. Matcha milk tea can be made with 4 simple ingredients! Customize this vibrant green drink to your liking!

Matcha green milk tea is a God send for those of us who can not tolerate a lot of caffeine. After my pregnancies, I became super sensitive to caffeine and could not drink coffee anymore. I would be way too wired. Jasmine milk tea, and cafe sua da are great sources of caffeine for me but matcha milk teas just hit differently. It gave me the perfect amount of caffeine with a creamy taste.

    What is matcha?

Matcha green tea comes from the camelilia sinensis plant. Green tea, oolong tea, and black tea all come from this same plant. Matcha is a green tea but the way it is cultivated, grown, harvested, and produced differentiates it from all the other teas. Matcha comes from Japan and has been grown there for more than 900 years. If you're a beginner to matcha, here are 5 key characteristics to look for in a high-quality superior matcha. Matcha green tea with a superior color, superior umami, excellent terroir, frothability, and a long smooth finish that contains cream to the very last drop.

Matcha green tea has spread all over the world. It can be found in ice creams, cupcakes, cakes, pancakes, boba, crepes, and croissants, the possibilities are endless. I like to get my fix in drink form. It's easy, quick, and doesn't cost me $9! So if you're willing to put in the effort this drink is a fun one to make.
